Canteen of Coastal California has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 virus and actively following the CDC’s guidelines and best practices. First off, we are open for business and operating responsibly. As a family-owned business, we hold your well-being and safety, as well as the health of our employees, in highest priority. With that in mind, we wanted to take a moment to notify you of the steps we’re taking as a company to alleviate concerns regarding the current COVID-19 situation.
As a franchise under the umbrella of Compass, a large worldwide company, we have access to a great deal of resources to ensure that the safety of our customers and employees is our top priority during these times. As a large organization with a comprehensive Pandemic Management Policy in place, Compass is committed to supporting us and our valued clients.
All employees have been asked to adhere to the CDC’s recommendations regarding handwashing and hygienic practices,
maintaining safe personal distance and more. We have required our business partners to do the same.
We have made the following adjustments to our typical operations:
- We have increased the frequency and meticulousness of the cleaning of our offices and facilities.
- Retraining teams to refresh knowledge and practices on hand washing and hygiene etiquette, especially in response to coughing and sneezing.
- Reinforcing cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting protocols at all sites.
- Ensuring adequate supplies of hand sanitizers and disinfectants.
- Reinforcing Food Safety Management Systems.
- Reminders to avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
- Staying home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
- Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.v
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
We stand proudly behind our service, products and our employees.
Our Coronavirus Response Team will continue to review the situation on a daily basis and share updates and best practices.
As part of a large organization with a robust pandemic policy in place and a team actively assessing and addressing the situation, we are confident in our ability to continue to support our clients and their operations while keeping everyone safe.
